Where do you keep finding yourself? If you’re like me, you’ve probably noticed patterns in your surroundings. Maybe you feel limited by your finances or free time.
So you change your job or you move to another town. A few years go by and those same limits pop up again. Differently disguised, but familiar.
Do you find yourself without a team or mentor? Always short on time? Overburdened? Mired in bureaucracy? Unhealthy, unsupported, unconnected?
Stop thinking of your obstacle as the thing that’s keep you from real life. From where you ought to be. It is your real life. It is your path.
In fact, it’s the only thing you can invest in with confidence. It’s the challenge that’s worth your time. Because you are there in those limits. Your abilities, your talents. Your ticket to the promised land is sitting there, and all this time you’ve been blaming it for keeping you stuck.
There’s a reason you’ve got patterns. A reason wherever you go, there they are. It’s because they’re yours to solve. Yours to prove. They’re you.
So you can stop worrying about which move is the right one. Which option is going to work for you. The truth is, you can walk in any direction and the first step will look the same. It’s your step to take and it’s going to keep showing up. Inviting you forward.
Do yourself a favor and stop mistaking it for a barrier or a waste of time. The truth is, it’s anything but.
